Last year for the site’s anniversary, I dropped dozens of monsters for 4 Horror War, a purely hypothetical mons game I made up in homage of a bunch of horror characters I like. Well, one of the things I’m doing this year is the first 4 Horror War DLC, House of 4 Horror War. There will be sixteen new arky families for your perusal this month. Today’s family belongs to Atomic Horror, THE MUTANT ANIMAL FAMILY!

Mutated by toxic waste, Rathorde is a seething mass of pustule-covered rodents. What each individual member of the horde lacks in size they make up for in rabid ferocity, and together the swarm can make mincemeat of even the largest enemies.

If taken to open water, such as a lake, river, or ocean, Rathorde can evolve into Ripperana. Still small in stature, this frail monster strikes swift and hard, and works excellently with its team members to tear its foes apart.

If exposed to a genetic infusion device, Ripperana can mutate into Squidshark. Now more durable at the cost of some speed, this deadly hybrid has great reach to drag enemies into its shearing jaws.

If fed a steady diet of toxic waste, Rathorde can mutate into Plagrat. Now a massive beast the likes of which its rodent brethren could only dream of being, this creature is a swift and deadly physical attacker.

If trained to increase in speed, Plagrat can evolve into Hareraiser. Though its floppy ears and fluffy round tail may make it seem comical, this monster is a swift assassin, capable of running rings around more heavily armored monsters while wearing them down with quick and deadly attacks.

If Plagrat fights alongside the Mutant Man arky Brundlbug, it can evolve into Justabear. A colossal juggernaut, this deadly brawler is hides a unique and deadly cunning beneath is warty and overly muscled flesh.

If Rathorde is flushed down a toilet, it can evolve into Sewerdile. Though its heavily armored body is slow, it has an uncanny knack of slipping in and out of tight spaces, allowing it to infiltrate enemy lines unnoticed if given enough time to do so, which puts it in prime position to tear apart enemy arkies with its deadly jaws.

If taken to an overgrown jungle, Sewerdile can evolve into Vipython. Trading some defensive power for an increase in speed, this deadly monster can crush the life out of foes, and also sports an array of venoms to poison its enemies.
